I wanted to create a new way of making sounds on a guitar. the idea of the applecaster is, to take the classical elements of a guitar, but to alienate their function: Thereby, the organology of the instrument changes. The result is a guitar neck that sounds like a game boy.
Cables are attached to all frets and strings, connecting them with an micro controller [Arduino Mega boarD] which is applied to the headstock. By pressing a string to a fret, an electric circuit gets closed. The Arduino reads this information and defines [depending on fret and string] the fitting tone.
